In February 2017, I was crowned Ms Earth Australia as part of the Ms and Mrs Earth Australia Pageant. I will now represent Australia at the Ms and Mrs Earth Pageant in Las Vegas on 8 – 12 June 2017 at the historic Golden Nugget on Fremont Street.
I will proudly focus my campaign for the world pageant title of Ms Earth on my growing work in the eco beauty sector. I have established an Eco Beauty Movement and am growing the movement to create awareness across the globe of the importance of ethical and sustainable beauty products with the aim of: eliminating animal testing, advocating for the creation and use of ethical and eco friendly products and packaging; and educating and influencing consumers and consumer behaviour.
More About Me
Proudly Australia, I grew up on the Mornington Pensinsula in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and attended St Brendan’s Primary school in Somerville. I graduated from Padua College in Mornington where I took dance classes and played basketball. In addition to my strong sense of school community I also contributed through my role as House Captain at Padua College.
From a young age I loved the environment and wildlife, having experienced the great outdoors camping with my family on the banks of the Murray River. I enjoyed the natural environment and getting back to basics; swapping the television for a bonfire and stilettos for gumboots.
Growing up and finishing schooling saw me completing my Bachelor of Design majoring in Communication Design at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT). At RMIT, I had the privilege of joining the RMIT Redbacks Cheerleading squad where I competed in the All Star National Championships, placing 2nd in my overall division. While studying, I also had the opportunity to pursue a semester abroad in the United States of America at Northern Arizona University (NAU), USA. During my time at RMIT, while in my first year of university, I also undertook internship work via online correspondence with ‘Rainbow Water’, the creators of an organic, natural health supplement.
My pageant career began at the age of 19, when I entered into a small town pageant, Miss Western Port and took home the 2015 crown. I then went on to compete for two consecutive years at the Miss Galaxy Australia pageants, placing in the top 10 twice. While these pageants enabled me to explore my love for pageants, I found myself striving for something a little bit more in line with my interests. The Ms and Mrs Earth Australia pageant offered this opportunity and to the ability to capitalise on my childhood fervor for nature and the outdoors. I have always been involved in cheerleading and dancing and competing successfully on both state and national stages.
Throughout my pageantry endeavours, I have been an ambassador for the Little Dreamers Australia foundation and have raised funds by hosting events for the cause. I also volunteer for Clean Up Australia Day and the MS Christmas Wrapping program each year. I am very community oriented and keep busy working in the community doing things such as gathering donations including food and blankets and taking them to my local RSPCA to donate them to the animals still awaiting new homes.
Brief Overview of Ms and Mrs Earth
Ms and Mrs Earth Australia is a national Australian pageant that selects Australia’s representatives to the Ms and Mrs Earth pageant. Ms Earth Australia must be a well rounded woman who is devoted, passionate and strong. She must be a positive influence for the generations to come and hold the values of this country close to her heart.
I believe I possess all of these necessary attributes and more. I am emotionally, physically and spiritually invested in improving and preserving earth’s inhabitants and natural resources. I want to educate as many people as possible about how as a society we can make a difference and make a positive impact on the planet and influence change.
